Delano Whitfield (aka Mr. Plugged-In) is a communications strategist, public affairs professional, nationally recognized speaker, and founding member of the Smart Home Team. As Communications & Public Affairs Specialist for Smart Homes of Today & Tomorrow (SHO(t)²), he transforms complex smart home technologies into clear, engaging conversations that educate, empower, and inspire homeowners. A graduate of South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, Delano's career spans public affairs, government relations, media relations, corporate communications, public policy, and brand strategy, enabling him to bridge the gap between innovation and everyday living.

Delano's experience includes public affairs consulting with The Williams Group, communications and brand strategy with ShinePR, and speaking before Fortune 500 companies, government leaders, educational institutions, and community organizations nationwide. He has also participated in discussions with the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Black Chambers, and Google on the future of artificial intelligence and small business innovation.
